monica hogan danceworks is a project-based contemporary company that, after nearly a decade in New York City, has reestablished permanent residency in Atlanta, GA. Led by artistic director Monica Hogan Thysell, the company creates works rooted in intentional, athletic movement and stylistic virtuosity, blending elements of Monica’s backgrounds in ballet, modern, jazz, and theater.

MHDW has presented numerous works on national and international stages and screens, including: Ailey Citigroup Theater, DUMBO Dance Festival, Salvatore Capezio Theatre, Gelsey Kirkland ArtsCenter, CoolNY Dance Festival, NY Jazz Choreography Project, Dixon Place, Queens Council on the Arts, Actor's Fund Arts Center (NYC); Triangle Dance Festival for AIDS (NC); Xuzhou Concert Hall, Tianjin Concert Hall (China); Jazz on Tap Festival (GA); and more.
